VMIX is a full ser­vice media com­pany that cre­ates con­cepts, shoots, and edits con­tent for var­i­ous cor­po­rate and enter­tain­ment clients. VMIX works with closely with our clients to pro­duce qual­ity con­tent that com­mu­ni­cates their mes­sage with the right look and feel for the con­tent. We han­dle all aspects of pro­duc­tion includ­ing logisitics, tal­ent acqui­si­tion, voice overs, etc. We pro­duce TV seg­ments, com­mer­cials, pro­mos, spe­cial event, etc. and dis­trib­ute in a vari­ety of for­mats. Our office is con­ve­niently located down­town NYC. We use the Schim­mel The­atre and other facil­i­ties to shoot a vari­ety of con­tent for the brands we work with. The VMIX web­site, mix videos, DVDs, and audio/visual pre­sen­ta­tions are designed to con­nect the company’s urban tar­get audi­ence through high-quality original-content enter­tain­ment that cap­ti­vates audi­ences lis­ten­ing and visual atten­tion. VMIX pro­duc­tion and dig­i­tal media ser­vices cre­ate solu­tions for clients wish­ing to inte­grate con­sumer mes­sag­ing into unique and attention-grabbing multi-sensory formats.

We exe­cute effec­tive brand strate­gies by pro­vid­ing inno­vat­ing solu­tions to our clients. We encour­age our brands to embrace the right blend of emerg­ing tech­nol­ogy, enter­tain­ment, social media, and effec­tive brand mes­sag­ing. Clients rely on us to stay ahead of mar­ket­ing trends and tech­nol­ogy to pro­vide them with the most reward­ing cost-effective expe­ri­ence for their con­sumers. Uncon­ven­tional meth­ods of prod­uct place­ment and brand inte­gra­tion con­cepts help us pro­vide unique mar­ket­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties for the clients we serve. An exam­ple of this is our inno­v­a­tive mobile events tours. The tour fea­tures a con­cept truck that pulls from the lat­est in mul­ti­ple tech­nolo­gies to bring enter­tain­ment mar­ket­ing to a higher stan­dard. The tour will pro­vide a mobile mar­ket­ing expe­ri­ence unlike any other. Fea­tured on MSNBC, the all-in-one mobile mar­ket­ing vehi­cle cre­ates a fresh new expe­ri­ence in mobile mar­ket­ing and a unique oppor­tu­nity for branded con­tent and enter­tain­ment.

VMIX devel­ops event ini­tia­tives from scratch to cre­ate aware­ness, strength­ened brand iden­tity, while cre­at­ing impres­sion­able events that bring con­sumers closer to the clients brand. We build, man­age, and run stag­ing, sig­nage, trade show booths, swag, Audio/Visual set up for clients events nation­wide. We han­dle logis­tics, tal­ent acqui­si­tion, ship­ping, and event man­age­ment. We work with the clients to pro­vide on-site activ­i­ties and games to engage event atten­dees. Past acti­va­tions include Pepsi Idol, Fuse Name That Tune, and Abso­lut Scratch Academy.

Chair­man and the vision­ary founder of the full ser­vice media com­pany. VMIX expanded on his first entre­pre­neur­ial ven­ture, C-10 Pro­duc­tions, which focused on music pro­duc­tion and branded con­tent. The com­pany cre­ated a niche mar­ket remix­ing music videos for broad­cast seg­ments, spe­cial events, and cor­po­rate adver­tis­ing. He brought on like minded lead­ers in their fields to expanded their ser­vices to include event acti­va­tion, broad­cast pro­duc­tion, post pro­duc­tion, high end A/V instal­la­tion and prod­uct inte­gra­tion, and con­tent dis­tri­b­u­tion.   Our pro­duc­tion ser­vices are dis­trib­uted on a wide range of enter­tain­ment, music, broad­cast plat­forms.  Under his lead­er­ship, VMIX has bro­kered deals to dis­trib­ute con­tent on Euro­pean satel­lite chan­nels (121 MM homes), mobile con­tent to 600 car­ri­ers world-wide, con­tent on cable video on demand (VOD), var­i­ous pop­u­lar enter­tain­ment web sites. Aun­dre uses his finance and media expe­ri­ence, insight on indus­try trends, to accel­er­ate the growth of non–traditional and untapped busi­ness mod­els for VMIX con­tent and their clients.  He con­tin­ues to demon­strate that a bou­tique media com­pany can pro­duce big results for major cor­po­rate and enter­tain­ment clients.

Julian Hey­ward has a Wall Street back­ground  where he was VP for Pru­den­tial Invest­ments and dri­ves prod­uct sales of 250 mil­lion + annu­ally.  By the age of 24, he was a VP with Laden­berg Thal­mann man­ag­ing over 20 mil­lion.  With over 8 years of finan­cial pro­fes­sional expe­ri­ence,  Julian has applied much of his busi­ness savvy and mar­ket­ing exper­tise in cre­at­ing a unique busi­ness model and dis­tinct iden­tity for VMIX.  His abil­ity to cre­ate value in almost every facet of mar­ket­ing to the Hip-Hop par­a­digm has helped bridge the gap between Madi­son Avenue and the “ECHO” gen­er­a­tion through VMIX.  He is respon­si­ble for bring­ing on clients such as Pepsi and Frito Lay.  Whether it’s night­club pro­mot­ers, event spe­cial­ists, or cor­po­rate part­ners, he under­stands the client’s needs and uses his trend knowl­edge to bet­ter posi­tion them in the mar­ket.  Jules hold a degree in Communication–Radio, Tele­vi­sion, Film from the State Uni­ver­sity of New York at Cort­land and attended the Pro­fes­sional MBA pro­gram at Isen­berg School of Man­age­ment –Uni­ver­sity of Mass­a­chu­setts con­cen­trat­ing in finance and marketing.

Khalid Smith joined the VMIX team in 2006.  He has eight years expe­ri­ence in mar­ket­ing and brand man­age­ment with the Proc­ter and Gam­ble Com­pany.  He has been directly respon­si­ble for devel­op­ment and com­mer­cial­iza­tion of five-lip color prod­uct and mar­ket­ing ini­tia­tives that have increased rev­enue by 40% and dou­bled mar­ket share.  He serves on the board of sev­eral non-profit orga­ni­za­tions includ­ing Asso­ci­ated Black Char­i­ties, the John Guinee Schol­ar­ship Foun­da­tion and the Dou­glas Vil­lage Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion, all of Bal­ti­more, Mary­land.  He is also pres­i­dent of the Jerome Hol­land Schol­ars Foun­da­tion of Wash­ing­ton D.C.  He holds bach­e­lors and mas­ters degrees in Engi­neer­ing from the Uni­ver­sity of Vir­ginia and the Johns Hop­kins University.

Mr. Emmanuel joined the VMIX team in 2006 and and serves as Chief Tech­ni­cal Offi­cer (CTO), Con­tent Designer and video Pro­ducer for client content. Mr. Emmanuel’s ran his own firm the Eman­nuel Media Group which focused on devel­op­ing Media Rich con­tent for its clients, on the major medi­ums of com­mu­ni­ca­tion. Anthony Emmanuel grad­u­ated from Rut­gers Uni­ver­sity in 1996 with a B.S. in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer­ing and a B.A. in Math­e­mat­ics.  He has pre­vi­ously worked at Lucent Tech­nolo­gies, Inc. where he served as a Sys­tems Engi­neer for the Inferno Busi­ness Unit, a part of Lucent’s New Busi­ness Ven­tures. Mr. Emmanuel also has had pre­vi­ous employ­ment expe­ri­ence in the capac­ity of a Mul­ti­me­dia Devel­oper and Com­puter Instruc­tor at AlphaOne Com­puter Solu­tions, Inc. He served as a Devel­op­men­tal Spe­cial­ist in the Dean’s Office at Rut­gers Col­lege of Engi­neer­ing and as the Man­ager of a Dig­i­tal Media Lab at Rut­gers University.

Matthew Mag­in­ley cur­rently is a media con­sul­tant pro­vid­ing man­aged media and mar­ket­ing services.Starting with research­ing end-user behav­iors, local SEO strate­gies are deployed, then lay­ered with  inter­ac­tive mobile and social media cam­paigns using SMS and QR code tech­nol­ogy. This process aug­ments the offline adver­tis­ing reach invest­ment to drive traf­fic with higher conversions.

As a con­sul­tant he was also Pres­i­dent of Enter­prise Cable Net­works, LLC.,  respon­si­ble for the com­pany P & L and all activ­i­ties for run­ning the day to day oper­a­tion of a spot TV firm engaged in polit­i­cal spot cable analy­sis, place­ment and stew­ard­ship. Com­pany han­dles work from approx­i­mately 15 client agen­cies and places media buys with over 100 national sales man­agers in 212 mar­kets that work in local cable mar­kets for Com­cast, Time Warner, Cox Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, Cable­vi­sion, Ver­i­zon and oth­ers. Strate­gic place­ment done for both Repub­li­can and Demo­c­ra­tic can­di­dates dur­ing the Pres­i­den­tial , Con­gres­sional and State elec­tion cycles from Feb 2008 through Feb 2011.

Prior to that he pro­vided a gourmet Ital­ian import com­pany based in New Jer­sey with mar­ket­ing and sales sup­port in the fol­low­ing areas : reps and sales agents, design and exe­cu­tion of cat­a­loges, and other mar­ket­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tions mate­r­ial, sales pro­mo­tions, trade show plan­ning and exe­cu­tion from July 2007 to Feb­ru­ary 2008.

Prior to that he pro­vided busi­ness devel­op­ment sup­port and con­ceived and pre­sented a strate­gic plan to help an India based online tutor­ing com­panyapply and win state depart­ment of edu­ca­tion con­tracts funded by the Fed­eral “No Child Left Behind” pro­gram as an SES (Sup­ple­men­tal Edu­ca­tion Ser­vice) Provider. Devel­oped col­lab­o­ra­tive multi-national com­mu­ni­ca­tions to com­plete and sub­mit appli­ca­tions on a timely basis, win­ning appli­ca­tions to pro­vide ser­vices for thou­sands of chil­dren within the state depart­ments of edu­ca­tion in Texas, Col­orado and Cal­i­for­nia from July 2006 to July 2007.

Prior to that he was a New Busi­ness Devel­op­ment Direc­tor at Active Inter­na­tional design­ing cor­po­rate trade projects to help CFOs , Comp­trol­lers , SVP of Finance and Pres­i­dents of For­tune 1000 busi­nesses to recover full asset value of under-performing assets such as cap­i­tal equip­ment, debt, real estate and con­sumer prod­ucts through pur­chase of assets and re-expression of full value in media buys from Feb­ru­ary 2002 to July 2006

Prior to 2002 he was an Account Exec­u­tive with AOL Time Warner respon­si­ble for con­ceiv­ing, cre­at­ing and clos­ing sales of multi-million dol­lar, multi mar­ket spot cable pro­grams. Cre­ated tune in cam­paigns for var­i­ous Time Warner media com­pa­nies, such as Lon­don Sire Records and non Time Warner com­pa­nies such as the Sci-Fi Chan­nel from Feb­ru­ary  2001 to Feb­ru­ary 2002

Prior to that he was Direc­tor, Broad­cast Sales at AdOutlet.com one of the first total media Inven­tory sales man­age­ment soft­ware sys­tems, respon­si­ble for posi­tion­ing and pre­sent­ing new model of web based media inven­tory chan­nel man­age­ment sys­tem to adver­tis­ers and media pub­lish­ers. Nego­ti­ated con­tracts for media inven­tory with TV sta­tions, Cable and TV Net­works, and Syn­di­ca­tors that would be sold to ad agen­cies through chan­nel man­aged part­ner­ships from April 200 through Decem­ber 2000

Prior to that he was Media Direc­tor Vice Pres­i­dent of Broad­cast at Towne, Sil­ver­stein and Rotter doing work in children’s and young adult mar­ket­ing and adver­tis­ing for Star War licensed toy line and video game accounts from Sep­tem­ber 1995 through April 2000.

Prior to that he was a Senior Net­work Nego­tia­tor at Ogilvy & Mather Adver­tis­ing, NY han­dling Upfront TV nego­ti­a­tions for Para­mount Pic­tures, Mat­tel Toys, Glaxo Smith Klein, Camp­bell Soup, Pub­lish­ers Clear­ing House, Cot­ton Incor­po­rated and Microsoft from Sep­tem­ber 1990 through Sep­tem­ber 1995

Mr. Mag­in­ley holds a B.A. in Jour­nal­ism and Broad­cast­ing from the State Uni­ver­sity of Broad­cast­ing, with addi­tional course­work com­pleted at Brook­lyn Col­lege in TV, Film and Radio and the Uni­ver­sity of Rochester in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer as a Bausch and Lomb schol­ar­ship recipient.

Andrea Holmes Thomp­kins is a 25 year vet­eran broad­cast media sales and mar­ket­ing exec­u­tive.  Holmes Thomp­kins is respon­si­ble for some of the most lucra­tive adver­tis­ing sales spon­sor­ships and cam­paigns in the gen­eral mar­ket as well as in the diverse mul­ti­cul­tural mar­ket­place, com­bin­ing her inter­ests in fash­ion, music and sports.

Her media sales and mar­ket­ing con­cepts have been exe­cuted in the high­est rated pro­grams in tele­vi­sion his­tory, includ­ing the Super­bowl, the World Series, the NBA, the NHL, Amer­i­can Idol, Girl Friends, Emmy Awards, Source Awards, etc. Her ros­ter of “A” list clients have included the top adver­tis­ers in all media, includ­ing; Amer­i­can Express, AOL, Burger King, BMW, Chase, Coca Cola, Chrysler, Ford, Kraft, Lin­coln Mer­cury, Mas­ter­card, McDon­alds, Mer­cedes, Nike, Pepsi, P&G, Toys R US, Toy­ota, Twen­ti­eth Cen­tury Fox, Visa, to name a few.

ACE spe­cial­izes in branded enter­tain­ment, marketing/sales and pro­mo­tions beyond the tra­di­tional spot, com­mer­cial unit sale.

ACE rep­re­sents Turner Enter­tain­ment Net­works (TBS, TNT and truTV) multi-cultural ad sales and mar­ket­ing efforts for the orig­i­nal, first-run syn­di­cated sit­com, Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns on TBS.”

Holmes Thomp­kins serves as asso­ciate pro­ducer of the inde­pen­dent film “Black­out,” writ­ten and directed by Jerry Lamothe. Black­out tells the story of the largest black­out in US his­tory, and its impact on one Brook­lyn neigh­bor­hood. The film stars Jef­frey Wright, Zoe Sal­dana and Melvin Van Pee­bles. It pre­miered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

Andrea, spent twenty years of her career with UPN(WWOR-TV) and FOX (WNYW-TV), in New York , in sales and mar­ket­ing. By uti­liz­ing inno­v­a­tive mar­ket­ing strate­gies, defin­ing cross cul­tural trends, and pro­vid­ing rel­e­vant timely infor­ma­tion, She expanded the con­sumer base for her clients while bring­ing brand aware­ness and recog­ni­tion to their product.

Holmes Thomp­kins, served on the board of Direc­tors for HOPE HOUSE, a non profit orga­ni­za­tion for unwed moth­ers and their fam­i­lies. She is a board mem­ber of TCT, (TEANECK COMES TOGETHER), also the founder of Sen­sa­tional Sis­ter­hood – a men­tor­ing group for young girls. Andrea has served on many committee’s includ­ing, Amer­i­can Can­cer Soci­ety, The Stut­ter­ing Foun­da­tion, and the National Amer­i­can Dia­betes Asso­ci­a­tion. She has received numer­ous awards and recognitions.

Holmes Thomp­kins, is a grad­u­ate of Howard Uni­ver­sity, she is mar­ried to Julian Thomp­kins and has two chil­dren. They reside in Bergen County New Jersey.

 

Cathy Chun Yee

Cathy Chun Yee Ng is a PR and mar­ket­ing intern for VMIX. She is a year 2 stu­dent pur­su­ing a BA in Trans­la­tion & Inter­pre­ta­tion at City Uni­ver­sity of Hong Kong intern­ing with us for the sum­mer. Hav­ing a strong lan­guage back­ground and being an enthu­si­as­tic learner in lan­guages, she is able to speak Japan­ese, a lit­tle bit of Ger­man and Span­ish, and flu­ent in Can­tonese, Eng­lish, and Man­darin. As a for­mer active mem­ber of Hong Kong Red Cross, she has coor­di­nated peo­ple from dif­fer­ent sec­tors to orga­nize ser­vice projects. In today’s glob­al­iz­ing world, she is keen to gain more inter­cul­tural expe­ri­ence and develop bet­ter mar­ket­ing sense. With her aca­d­e­mic prepa­ra­tion, job skills, and enthu­si­asm,  we look for­ward to Cathy help­ing VMIX grow our mar­ket­ing efforts.

Car­o­line is a graphic designer intern for VMIX.  She is Con­tem­po­rary Social Issue major at Lig­nan Uni­ver­sity in Hong Kong. She is a mem­ber of the Hoint-University Band Asso­ci­a­tion and  the Music Soc­ity of Ling­nan Uni­verisitya as pres­i­dent and exter­nal Vice Pres­i­dent respec­tively.  She has also interned as a gloabl intern­ship trainee in YMCA of Pagansi­nan, Phillip­pines and a devel­op­ment trainee in Bar­oda, India. Her com­pre­hen­sive skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe After Effects and Pho­to­shop.  We look for­ward to Car­o­line assist in our  moti­ion and graphic design work and for clients and VMIX mar­ket­ing promotions.
